Eureka Skydeck 88 - flying high in Melbourne CBD

Melbourne is home to the tallest public viewing point in the Southern hemisphere - the Eureka Skydeck 88 - which provides amazing view of this glorious city. Taking the advice of the locals, I headed up at around 6pm so that I could experience the view in the daylight, at dusk and at night with the beauty of the city lights. This is a time of day that I would recommend to experience the city through all lights of the day.

If you are looking for a great tourist spot, then this is one of the best in Melbourne. It's a great way to get your bearings on the other hot spots in the city from a birds eye view. You can see all four of Melbourne's sporting stadiums, Etihad, AAMI, Melbourne Cricket Ground, and Rod Laver Arena as well as great cultural points like the Arts Centre and Federation Square.

On top of this, and feeling on top of the world you can see why this city had a seven year run as most liveable city, only narrowly knocked off by Vienna this year. I'm not ashamed to admit that I may have shed a tear at how beautiful this city is and how much I have missed being here!

Hopefully, more information to come will let you share my love of this city and put it on your travel list for the near future!

Chloe (:
