Everything's coming up Rose Street Market
Updated: Nov 15, 2018
As promised, the first instalment of our #MarketMondays before Christmas to help inspire some gift ideas for any of those people around Melbourne who might be looking for something a little more unique this year. Don't forget to check out my other #MarketMondays blogs every week or better still, for a one stop shop of markets to make it to check out my Melbourne by Markets blog post which I will also be updating weekly.
Rose Street Market - Fitzroy
Rose Street Artist's Market has been supporting local artists and businesses for fifteen years with this weekly treasure trove. It is a great place to find some truly unique gifts for your friends, family or just for you; #treatyourself am I right? You can stop in and shop every Saturday and Sunday, year round, between 11am and 5pm to check out these local artists and budding businesses.
Here are a few of my favourite finds from my trip out to Rose Street Artist's Market - Fitzroy.
Haus of Dizzy
Founder, Kristy, describes Haus of Dizzy and herself as the Queen of Bling and I find that highly suitable. This jewellery brand caught my eye at the Rose Street Artist's Market but this isn't the first time I have seen this brand in Melbourne. Haus of Dizzy is definitely inspiring the idea that it is based on; "Life is too short to wear boring jewellery." These individual designs would make any outfit a statement piece and I will definitely being investing in some of these pieces in the near future.
My favourites would have to be the selection of earrings with these being my top five:
This lady must love a pun nearly as much as I do! Ranging from weddings, Christmas and birthdays, Monica McNab's greetings cards, postcards, and other stationary are a humour tickler with my favourite being this one here:
What's better than a punny and unique card to top off a one of a kind gift from one of Melbourne's markets!?
You can check out this stall at the Rose Street Artist's Market amongst other markets around Melbourne. Follow her Instagram to see new designs or new locations or if you need a card with a personal touch, head over to her online shop to order now!
I had a great time wandering around and seeing all of these artist's (and business people's) individual tastes and flavours laid out through jewellery, art, pottery, clothing to mention a few. Highly recommend taking a quick look if you find yourself in Fitzroy on a weekend.
