If you have been following my #MarketMondays blogs, then you will have seen my new found love for a market in Melbourne. There is every thing to offer from food and drink, to crafts and plants; I love it all! This blog will give you a snippet overview of all the markets I have been too so far in Melbourne.
Feel free to check out the bigger blogs for more info or even watch my vlog* to see what Melbourne's markets have to offer!
1. Rose Street Artist's Market - Fitzroy
This market is jam packed with local artists and great options for some personal presents; my main motivation for this adventure was finding some unique gifts before Christmas. Rose Street Artist's Market has been accommodating Melbourne's artists and their handmade work for over 15 years plenty of options for a unique gift, for someone else or for yourself! My favourite would have to be Haus of Dizzy who's designs make any outfit stand out statement.
Check out more of my experience of this market here!

2. Hawker88 Market (Queen Victoria Market) - Melbourne CBD
Queen Victoria Market has stood on the same site in Melbourne's CBD for 140 years - which for this young country is a significant amount of time(!) - trading as a livestock market as well as a wholesale fruit and veg market. More recently, to keep the magic of this market alive, the market has taken to transforming into a host of food markets including the Hawker88 Market during the Winter.
Hawker88 has brought some life to the market in the evenings of the Winter months here in Melbourne by hosting 20 food stalls of local Asian tastes. Some of my favourites being Son in Law, who make fairy floss works of art, and Brick Lane Brewing who have produced a specially crafted beer for the 6 week run of the Hawker88 market. Head down to experience some great Asian cuisine and street food as well as amazing art, dance and culture.

3. Night Noodle Markets - Melbourne CBD
As part of Melbourne's Good Food Month, the Night Noodle Markets and the 20 Asian cuisine restaurants set up shop on the Birrarung Marr in Melbourne CBD. Some of these stalls include my favourites such as The Original Korean Twistto Potato, Mr Miyagi of Chapel Street, and Son in Law (which you may recognise from other markets around Melbourne). If you are around in November this is definitely worth a trip for a dinner time adventure on the Yarra River.

As the Art Bank Show grew it soon became the St Kilda Esplanade Market, beyond art and sculpture the market now showcases jewellery, clothing, accessories, home wares, food, beauty products, and much more! 7. The Fitzroy Mills Market - Fitzroy
The Fitzroy Mills Market describes itself as the 'Weekly Wellness Market'; happening only metres from the Rose Street Artist's Market it's a great way to spend a Saturday morning. As a source for local produce and supporting those who provide, the Fitzroy Mills Market provides a place for local businesses to sell their individual produce. This isn't your average farmers market; they have shiatsu massage and a food truck for dogs so it is literally fun for all the (extended) family.
